World Gold Council: Turkey and Russia are The Most Buying Gold This Year

The World Gold Council announced, Thursday, that Turkey and Russia were the most gold buyers for the current year 2019, indicating that Germany has been the most selling country of gold for 17 years.

The council stated in a statistic seen by Alsumaria news that ” Turkey was the most buying country for gold during the current year 2019, as it bought 144 tons of gold this year, while last year it bought 51.4 tons, so its gold reserves are currently 398.2 tons, ranking 14th globally out of 100 Country included in the international financial statistics for the global reserves of gold.

He added, ” Russia came second in terms of purchasing this year with 139 tons of gold, while last year it bought 274.3 tons of gold, so its gold reserves currently amount to 2.252 tons and ranks sixth in the world.”

The council pointed out that ” Germany is the country that continuously sells gold for 17 years,” noting that “what was sold by Germany for gold during this period amounted to 90 tons and ranked second with 3.366 tons.”
